DLC 2015-2016 Goals

The DLC is proud to release its goals for the 2015-16 school year, categorized within the broader strategic initiatives of Middlebury and the Institute.

Goal 1

MIDDLEBURY: Attracting to Middlebury a talented and diverse group of students, faculty, and staff and cultivating conditions to ensure their success

STUDENT, FACULTY, STAFF ENGAGEMENT AND SUPPORT

Offer an innovative, inspiring, creative ‘Commons’ on campus by providing support for digital and analog multimedia projects, design thinking, and professional growth.

Goal 2

MIDDLEBURY: Ensuring educational excellence throughout the institution by leveraging Middlebury’s assets and resources

COLLABORATION AND PARTNERSHIPS

Develop, cultivate, and sustain opportunities for collaboration with partners on Institute campus, College campus, and Monterey community-wide.

Goal 3

MIDDLEBURY: Promoting pedagogical and technological innovation to meet the evolving needs of students

NEW DIGITAL INITIATIVES

Develop and support new digital learning initiatives (i.e. hybrid, blended and online) through collaboration with the new office of the Associate Provost of Digital Learning.

Goal 4

MIDDLEBURY: Attracting to Middlebury a talented and diverse group of students, faculty, and staff and cultivating conditions to ensure their success

MIDDLEBURY INSTITUTE ONLINE PRESENCE

Provide training for and make incremental changes to strengthen the Institute online presence in its various formats (e.g. www.miis.edu, Moodle, sites.miis.edu, Adobe Connect, and others.)
