Computers

Students, faculty, and staff may use the 8 desktop computers and 4 laptops in the DLC for their own projects. Laptops can be signed out with a valid student ID and must stay in the D-space.

Software

Our computers are equipped with a variety of software programs including:

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro (Mac, PC) – PDF converter, editor, convert to PDF, merge PDFs
  • Adobe Illustrator (Mac) – Graphic design, vector illustration
  • Adobe InDesign (Mac) – Desktop publishing
  • Adobe Photoshop (Mac) – Graphic design, graphics editing, photo editing
  • Audacity (Mac) – Audio editor and recorder
  • Camtasia (Mac) – Screen recorder and video editor (narrated slide shows and tutorials)
  • Final Cut (Mac) – Video editor
  • GarageBand (Mac) – Audio editor and recorder
  • iMovie (Mac) – User-friendly video editor
  • Keynote (Mac) – Presentation software (slideshows)
  • Microsoft Excel (Mac, PC) – Spreadsheets
  • Microsoft PowerPoint (Mac, PC) – Presentation software (slideshows)
  • Microsoft Word (Mac, PC) – Word processor
  • Numbers (Mac) – Spreadsheets
  • Pages (Mac) – Word processor, desktop publishing
  • Quicktime (Mac, Quicktime Player for PC) – Audio/video player and recorder
  • R (Mac, PC) – Statistics and data analysis
  • Skype (Mac) – Voice and video calls, including call recording

Printers

We do not offer printing services in the DLC. The closest printer is located in the Samson Media Room, with other printers in Media Services (Morse A102) and the William Tell Library. Please refer to the Technology Map for more information.
