This is your chance to be creative and tell us about the “non-techy” side of you.
What to do
It’s easiest to create your album cover using the free online tool called Canva, found at https://www.canva.com/. However, if you’d prefer to make yours elsewhere, that is fine, as long as you adhere to the following standards.
If you do use Canva, you can create your album cover on the DLC canva account (email Evelyn for account details), or in your personal Canva account (share your final design with the DLC Canva account).
Your album cover should be letter size, 8.5 x 11, landscape orientation.
What to include
People need to know what you look like! Include a picture of yourself on your album cover.
An important reason for creating this album cover is to let people know who you are. Include your name somewhere on your album cover. (You are the artist.)
Include the DLC logo on your album cover. You can find some in the DLC Google Drive. Email Evelyn for help if you need other colors/sizes/file types.
What do you stand for? What are you all about? Your album cover is all about you as a person. Include 4-5 of your core values. See below for a sample list of values.
What are you doing here? What is your work in the DLC? Write a mission statement sentence and include it on your album cover. This could be the title or subtitle of your album.
Feel free to add additional images, icons, words, shapes, colors, designs, etc. Design it to reflect you and your personality!
When You’re Done
- Download a “PDF – Print” and save in the DLC “5. Staff Videos/Headshots/Album Covers” Google Drive folder to be printed.
